I do not want to use an attorney for Probate

DEAR LEGAL WIZ,

Good Day,

I am making an inquiry as to what services you are able to provide with respect to filing for a Grant of Probate without the use of an attorney.
I am named executor in my mother’s will and I wish to undertake the filing myself, however, I do not reside in Jamaica. From my research and contact with the Court, I understand they have no provision for filing the documents online and I would need to have someone physically make the initial application to the Court on my behalf. Consequently, I would like to know if you would be able to initiate the application and also as the process moves along, assist as the need arises.

If you are able to assist, can you advise what kind of fees could we expect to be charged to present the initial application and for the other services based on your experience, that will probably arise throughout the process for an executor not residing on the island requiring a physical appearance, although I understand the latter may be a little hard to project as cases differ..
